RESTON, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore Networks today released an overnight analysis of Web visitation related to today's election. The analysis found that both Senator Kerry and President Bush's campaign web sites saw dramatic traffic increases yesterday (Monday, November 1).
comScore findings included:
-- JohnKerry.com and GeorgeWBush.com each drew more than 300,000 U.S.
visitors on November 1, 2004. This represents an increase of more than
100 percent compared to each of the sites' average visitation levels.
GeorgeWBush.com led JohnKerry.com by just over 3 percent yesterday.

-- Visitation among workplace users accounted for more than half of the
traffic to both of the campaign sites. Approximately 160,000 at-work
Internet users visited JohnKerry.com yesterday. This represents an
increase of 154 percent versus the average of the previous four Mondays
and approximately 52 percent of total visitors to the site yesterday.
Similarly, 189,000 at-work users visited GeorgeWBush.com, representing
an increase of 160 percent and about 60 percent of total visitors
yesterday.
-- Overall, the campaign sites have been as closely matched as the
candidates have been in the polls. After leading in the July and
August ratings, JohnKerry.com lost the lead to GeorgeWBush.com in
September. Weekly rankings have shown Senator Kerry's site in the lead
for the last three weeks.
