Exhibit features historic churches Learn Internet basics at Ivy Tech 'Cabaret' actor Grey to perform


          GARY Photography by Robin Perez will be on exhibit Monday, April 8, through May 18 at the Barbara Leek Wesson Art Gallery in the DuBois Branch Library, 1835 Broadway.
The exhibit features historic churches in Gary.
          An opening reception is set from 5 to 7 p.m. April 8. The public is invited to attend. Gallery hours are from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

          Ivy Tech is offering "Basics of Using the Internet," from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gary Campus, 1440 E. 35th Ave.
          The cost is $59, including the Quicktorial. Participants will learn how to put the Internet to work. Internet search engines, such as Yahoo and Excite will be discussed.
Students should have some Windows or comparable experience.

          Star of stage, screen and television, Joel Grey, will join the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra for "An Evening With Joel Grey," a performance scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at the Star Plaza Theatre.
          Grey is widely known for the acclaimed film version of "Cabaret."
          Single tickets are priced from $30 to $60. Advance ticket orders are recommended, as space may be limited.
