A report from online traffic measurement company Red Sherriff indicates Australian Internet usage is now more mainstream. The report claims that Internet users tend to rely on mainstream media such as TV, newspapers and magazines slightly less than non-users. It found that Internet usage among Australians aged 16 to 29 years had reached 95%, with the figure 73% for all Australians over 16 years old. The report also found a high proportion of users made use of work Internet connections for non-work use, though the majority did so for less than one hour a week, they claimed.
